Foil Configuration
The N30’s canard foil configuration sets it apart from the competition, offering quicker response times in choppy conditions. The increased foil spacing allows for a smoother, more comfortable ride.
The front foil on N30 controls the pitch or height off the water, while the rear two foils control the steering.
Each foil has an aileron flap on the rear of the foil, just like on an airplane wing. This allows for each foil to be actively controlled by Navier’s proprietary flight control system. With constant feedback from the sensors on the boat, the flight control software updates the aileron flap up to 50 times per second, ensuring minute reactions to changes in the water and a smooth ride through all sea states.
